- Students admitted in 2023 or later: 130 credits or more

Graduation Thesis
- You must take one of the following courses in the 1st or 2nd semester of your 4th year: Japanese Regional Cultural Planning Capstone Design or Japanese Regional Studies Capstone Design before submitting your thesis.
- Students must pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Level 1 or Level 2 before enrolling in each capstone design class, and submit a copy of the JLPT passing certificate to the professor at the beginning of the course.
Effective for freshmen in 2020
- Before taking each capstone design class, students must submit a thesis plan by the deadline. (Refer to Academic Notices and Forms)
You may be restricted from taking the course if you do not submit the thesis plan by the deadline.
Master's students are exempt from taking the thesis and capstone classes.
Graduation Certification / Submit by the 4th year final semester end date
- English Language Graduation Qualification : Fill out the English Language Graduation Qualification Application Form and submit it to the department office with the required documents.
Students must fulfill the above 5 requirements to graduate.
Completion and Repeat
Repeat determination (for students who have completed 8 semesters)
- In case of failure to complete the required curriculum (insufficient graduation credits, not completing major requirements, etc.)
- In case the dual (joint) major and teaching courses have not fulfilled the graduation requirements.
Completion
- If you have completed the required curriculum, but failed the thesis or failed to obtain a graduation qualification (English, information literacy)
(Completed students are not eligible to register for semesters and courses).
English Graduation Qualification
- Download the Application for English Graduate Qualification (download from the archive) and submit it to the department office with the required documents.
- Submit: Attach a scan of your transcript and apply on the portal by the deadline.
