Eligibility and Conditions (For details, please refer to the attached application guidelines and the related website http:kr.emb-japan.go.jp)
- Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old and have Korean nationality.
- Educational background: Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to Japanese language or culture (Japanese language, Japanese studies, Japanese education, Japanese language, etc.) for at least one year.( Students with a double major, minor, or similar major are not eligible.)
- Period: Every year from October to September (no more than one year, no extension)
- Scholarship: Please refer to the application guidelines (average monthly payment of 134,000 yen and tuition exemption, etc.)
- Number of applicants: 1 from each Japanese-related department at each university

- Application deadline: Every year around March 3rd - March 5th (registration until 17:00)
- Documents: 1 recommendation letter, 1 school transcript, 1 transcript
- Documents 2: Self-introduction file and department introduction file sent by email (japanmext@yahoo.co.kr)
- Written examination schedule: Every year around March 11 (14:00 - 17:00) Japanese written examination
- Application deadline: Every year around March 3rd - March 5th (registration until 17:00)
- Interview: Only for less than 40 applicants who passed the written test
