Thesis Submission Eligibility
- Completion of at least 24 credits with a grade of B or better for master's and joint programs, and 36 credits for Ph.D. programs, 60 credits with a grade of B or better for the integrated program.
- Enrolled in at least 4 semesters of a master's program, 3 semesters of a joint program, 4 semesters of a Ph.D. program, and 8 semesters of an integrated program and passed the foreign language examination and comprehensive examination.
- Approved thesis research plan and supervised by a thesis advisor for more than 2 semesters.
- Those who can complete the primary evaluation of the thesis within 10 years from the date of admission.

- Thesis draft (3 copies for master's, 5 copies for Ph.D., individually delivered to the reviewers)
Thesis review committee members
- 3 members for the master's thesis and 5 members for the Ph.D. thesis (The advisor will automatically be included in the committee).
One of the three members for the master's thesis and two of the five members for the Ph.D. thesis may be from other departments or external professors (including researchers). - The thesis advisor cannot be the chair of the committee.
- Thesis committee members cannot be replaced after the thesis review has begun.
Thesis evaluation
- Thesis submitters can undergo a preliminary examination through a presentation by each department or sub-department in the presence of the reviewers.
- The thesis committee will examine the submitted thesis, suggest modifications and improvements, and determine the possibility of completion within the semester.
- The main evaluation of the thesis shall be held at a place and time designated by the Dean of the Graduate School.
- The committee may order self-correction by reviewing whether the matters raised in the preliminary examination of the thesis have been corrected or supplemented.
- The primary evaluation of the thesis must be completed within the prescribed deadline.
- The thesis and oral examination evaluation shall be based on 100 points. Still, the thesis shall be regarded as passing if at least 2 reviewers for the master's degree and 4 for the Ph.D. degree are evaluated by 80 points or more.
