The Foreign Language Education Center was established on August 1, 1981, as the Foreign Language Education Institute. Following the university’s transition to municipal status on March 4, 1994, it was renamed the Language Institute. On March 6, 2013, when the university became a national university corporation, it was renamed the Foreign Language Education Center.
The Center promotes research and development in foreign language education to cultivate globally competitive language professionals. It also aims to provide practical language education that enables students to use foreign languages naturally in their everyday lives.
