Purpose of the Department Scholarship
- 1) To encourage academic achievement and foster participation in all departmental activities.
- 2) Ensuring equal educational opportunity by considering students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- 3) Evaluate academic performance and completion of major by each grade, improve students' academic competencies, and select scholarship recipients fairly.
Eligibility and Application Process
- 1) Students must meet the scholarship selection criteria
- 2) Complete at least 9 credits of majors for the year within the total number of credits
- If there are less than 9 credits of major courses in the year, all of them must be completed.
- 3) Submit an application to the department office within the scholarship application period after consulting with the professor.
Students who do not apply for the scholarship within the period, even if they have excellent grades, will not be eligible for the scholarship.
Selection Criteria and Process
- 1) Grades 60%, Department's self-evaluation 20%, Professor's recommendation 20%.
- 2) In case of equal scores, priority will be given to students with a higher GPA in their major courses for the year.
- 3) In principle, dual receipt of the scholarship is prohibited.
Scholarship Selection Process
- 1) Calculate the actual points of academic performance (GPA total×0.6=actual points)
- 2) Calculate the Department's self-evaluation and professor’s recommendation score based on the submitted application form
- 3) Hold a professor's meeting based on the combined score of 1) and 2).

- 3) Grade Recognition : English grades within the official recognition period
- 4) Operating Criteria
- The scholarship will be reduced by 1 level (excellent) if the 'best' applicant does not obtain the required score.
- The above number of applicants will be upgraded by 1 level from the lower level of students in case they obtain the required score.
- The 1st-semester English grade will be applied to the previous semester's grade.
