- Department of Urban Engineering
- Modern cities are developing toward a sustainable, future-oriented city that is human-centered, low-carbon green growth, convergence of advanced technologies, and high-quality design. In response to these demands, the educational philosophy of urban construction engineering must innovatively solve today's urgent urban problems. To lead the urban paradigm required for the future society and create value, we aim for the following educational goals.
Comprehensive Engineering EducationWe aim to cultivate competence through basic theory and advanced education by providing total system engineering education, including a comprehensive curriculum (Survey methodology, computer science, data analysis methodology, urban planning, urban environment, urban transportation, urban design, transportation design, advanced construction technology and maintenance, hydrophilic rivers, computer program practice, urban maintenance, etc.) required for urban construction engineers.
Problem-Centered EducationWe provide problem-oriented education based on theory and application through a systematic learning system by integrating industry, university, research, and government knowledge to diagnose and solve urban problems. We aim to train and produce high-quality urban experts required by the society and achieve viable research-oriented results.
Convergence with emerging TechnologiesFuture innovative and value-added cities will be achieved by converging the paradigm of future society and 21st-century advanced technology. This is the department that combines the paradigm of future society, future cities, and 21st-century advanced technologies in modern and future urban development and problem-solving. The paradigm of the future society is a human-centered and safe society through low-carbon green growth and sustainability, which can be achieved through innovative cities converged with 21st-century high technology. Therefore, advanced disaster prevention systems, ubiquitous city systems, ubiquitous transportation, and advanced GPS will be provided through in-depth educational programs.
