-
In line with Incheon National University's specialization strategy
- Fostering specialized experts in law
- Fostering professional experts in each sector
- Fostering law professionals for the Northeast Asia-centered era
, the School of Law has shifted its focus from theoretical to practical legal education with the following goals.
Fostering specialized experts in law
The School of Law continues to pursue its unique educational objective of fostering specialized experts in law. Nine students passed the bar exam and are doing their best in the field. The School of Law prepares students for the bar examination and the military judicial officer appointment examination, currently the only recognized gateways to the legal profession.
As mentioned above, to fulfill the educational goal of fostering specialized experts, 'theoretical jurisprudence' and 'practical jurisprudence' will be taught. However, fewer and fewer students are taking the 1st elective, 2nd elective, 3rd elective, etc., which are neglected subjects except for the mandatory subjects in the 1st written examination (optional). Therefore, comprehensive efforts are being made to improve the situation by analyzing the subjects of civil service examinations and qualification examinations and introducing new classes.
Fostering professional experts by each sector
The School of Law fosters professional experts and legal professionals in each sector.
We provide education to prepare for the Judicial and Military Bar Examinations, as well as the Administrative Higher Public Service Examination, the Foreign Affairs Higher Public Service Examination, the Provincial Higher Public Service Examination, the Court Administration Higher Public Service Examination, the Legislative Higher Public Service Examination, the Provincial Higher Public Service Examination, and the 7th through 9th Level Civil Service Examinations.
We also provide training to prepare for various qualifying exams to become patent attorneys, certified labor attorneys, certified brokers, certified public accountants, lawyers, housing management assistants, appraisers, police officers, tax accountants, court clerks, and maritime police cadre candidates.
Fostering law professionals for the Northeast Asia-centered era
One of the distinctive educational goals of the College of Law is to foster law professionals for the Northeast Asia-centered era.
Considering the geopolitical conditions, Incheon, our university's location, is a bridgehead to enter the Northeast Asian region, including China. This is very important in the current situation where the global economy and trade center is shifting to Asia and China. With this in mind, we strive to achieve this with the following educational goals.
-Fostering leadership talents who can lead the development of the Incheon Metropolitan Area.-Preparing national and community leaders who protect the rights and interests of the public and local residents, enhance the productivity of national and local communities, and contribute to developing a democratic society.
The School of Law plans to establish new courses in Northeast Asian relations law, including Chinese law, and to secure faculty members who can teach them.
