1. Related to regulations on graduate school degree thesis.

2. Please refer to the guidance on the schedule of graduate thesis examination in the spring semester

of 2023, and make sure the thesis can be reviewed within the deadline.

* Graduate school students must check the schedule and required documents.

3. Non face to face thesis screening using such as Zoom is available but you have to submit report with eveidence.

■ Key points

- Plagiarism inspection for thesis is mandatory,which was decided by Graduate school Commitee(2020.2.28.)

■ Precautions

- Non face to face thesis screening using such as Zoom is available

* However, thesis screening must ensure fairness.(Written examination is prohibited, and make sure the

identification of participants during untact thesis screening)

1. Schedule for thesis application and examination for the spring semester of 2023

A. Qualification for graduate thesis application

1) A student who passed the foreign language exam & comprehensive exam, and

completed registration(including register for research) - 4 semesters of M.S, 3

semesters of integrated B.S/M.S, 4 semesters of Ph.D, 8 semesters of joint

M.S./Ph.D.)

2) M.S and intergrated B.S/M.S courses = 24 credits (or more) Ph.D. course = 36 credits (or more)/ joint M.S./Ph.D. = 60 credits (or more) A student who has acquired above mentioned credits or is scheduled toacquire during this semester.

3) A student who completed the submission of [Research Proposal] and [Decision for Presented Research Proposal].

B. Application for [Submission of Thesis] 【Attachment 2】

1) Application Period: 2023. 4. 24.(Mon.) ~ 4. 28.(Fri.)

2) Application Method: Submit paper documents to major department

※ Online application is not required.

※ When changing the title of the thesis, Request for Revision of Thesis Online after 2023.5.3. (Approval from the advisor professor and the department head must be obtained after request)

C. [Request for Thesis Examination] & [Pledge to Fulfill Ethical requirements] 【Attachment 3,4】

1) Application Period: 2023. 5. 1.(Mon.) ~ 5. 8.(Mon.)

2) Application Method: Submit paper documents to major department

※ Online application is not required.

3) Thesis Examination Fee: M.S 150,000 won / Ph.D. 500,000 won

4) Payment Method: Shinhan Bank’s virtual account will be granted only to those

who submit the Required paper documents

5) Payment Period: 2023. 5. 10.(Wed.) ~ 5. 11.(Thu.) 16:00

D. Report of Preliminary Thesis Examination 【Attachment 6】

1) Application Period: 2023. 5. 22.(Mon.) ~ 5. 26.(Fri.)

2) Criteria[Pass]: M.S. - 2 or more out of 3 judges scored more than 80 points. Ph.D. - 4 or more out of 5 judges scored more than 80 points.

3) Application Method: Submit paper documents to major department

※ Submit Report of Thesis Revision 【Attachment 10】 in case of correction or supplementation

※ Submit report 【Attachment 8】 with evidence in case of online examination.

E. Report of Thesis Examination 【Attachment 7】

1) Application Period: 2023. 6. 19.(Mon.) ~ 6. 23.(Fri.)

2) Criteria[Pass]: M.S. - 2 or more out of 3 judges scored more than 80 points. Ph.D. - 4 or more out of 5 judges scored more than 80 points.

3) Application Method: Submit paper documents to major department

※ Submit Report of Thesis Revision 【Attachment 10】 in case of correction or supplementation

※ Submit report 【Attachment 8】 with evidence in case of online examination.

※ Plagiarism inspection for thesis is mandatory, refer to [Attachment 10] copykillern manual

F. Submission of final printed copy of thesis : 2023. 7. 10.(Mon.) ~ 7. 14.(Fri.)

※ Detailed information will be notified later

2. Additional Guidance

A. Full Scholarship Students must submit required publication results to graduate

school office by 2023. 5. 8.(Mon.). Unless, Thesis Examination is not possible.

B. External judges(other major departments, professor at another university,

researcher) can be consist of up to 1 out of 3 for (M.S.) / 2 out of 5 for

(Ph.D.), and need to submit [Attachment 5] & proof of employment.
