The purpose of this institute is to conduct research, education, consultation, technical guidance, deliberation, and evaluation in urban environmental design and contribute to its advancement and society through cooperative research activities between government, industry, and academia.
Modern cities and societies cannot simply ignore the environmental aspects of cities for a better human life. Moreover, when human life and its dignity are emphasized, the issue of the surrounding environment and urban aesthetics in pursuit of human life is necessary.
Therefore, the Incheon University Sculpture Institute, which opened in June 2000 with the approval of Incheon University, conducts academic research on the urban environment in general and various research projects on urban environmental sculptures (art installations) in Incheon Metropolitan City to advance the urban visual environment.
