Incheon National University
Dept. of Electronics Engineering
The Department of Electrical Engineering at Incheon National University was established when INU opened in 1979 and has grown steadily, with many graduates.
In 1994, with the municipalization of Incheon College, the Department of Electrical Engineering set the foundation to advance as a prestigious department by inviting outstanding professors and attracting excellent students.
Since then, the department has steadily developed while fostering professional electronics engineers and contributing to the local community and development.
In 2006, the department was awarded the National Education Competitiveness Enhancement Project (NEXT), supported by the Ministry of Information and Communication.
In addition, the department was selected as the best department in the 2006 academic field evaluation organized by the Higher Education Commission of Korea.
In 2016, we were selected for the "D-SP-In-U Smart Device Talent Development Project," which comprises the Department of Electrical Engineering, in the Specialization Project for Universities in the Capital Region (CK-2).
The Department of Electrical Engineering has 17 full-time professors, about 540 undergraduate students, and about 30 graduate students dedicated to their studies and research. We offer excellent educational environments, including lecture halls equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and laboratories equipped with various experimental and practical equipment, as well as practical laboratories for each track.
Along with the reorganization of the university into a national university and the move to the Songdo campus, the Department of Electrical Engineering will be reorganized into the Division of Electrical Engineering in 2024. In response to the needs of students, the department established a convergence major in electrical engineering and semiconductors. We are preparing to take another leap forward as a specialized course that provides both broad electrical engineering education and specialized semiconductor education. We will make continuous efforts and developments to foster human resources with international competitiveness and future-oriented expertise.
