Advanced courses are offered after this: Theory of Speech Education, Theory of Teaching Reading, and Theory of Teaching Writing.

The Self design seminar is a course for first-year students to help them adapt to college life. This course includes an orientation of college life and campus resources, an introduction and overview of the discipline and career path, academic seminars on various topics, basic study skill seminars, counseling with professors, and various activities for friendship with peers and professors. This course will enhance first-year students' understanding of college life and discipline.

The aim of this subject is to understand the grammatical properties of Korean and to explore them. The main themes are the Korean Morphology and the Korean Syntax. We discuss and survey the previous studies on the Korean Grammar. Also we study the relation between the Korean Grammar and the Korean Semantics referring to the Korean Lexicology.

This course is a field-based subject designed for student teachers completing their practicum semester in middle schools. It explores various issues in on-site Korean language education. In addition to investigating various classroom activities that can be implemented in middle school Korean language education, the course examines examples of elective programs on diverse topics that Korean language teachers can offer during the Free Semester Program.

Correct pronunciation and orthography are essential parts of Korean Grammar Education. In this Subject, students will study Korean speech sounds and phonological system, Korean phonological phenomena and orthography based on the Korean phonological theory. Also, they will developed the educational ability for Korean phonology by learning the teaching methodology for Korean Phonology and the related knowledges.

The 2022 revised curriculum stipulates that all subjects should complete ecological conversion education. In addition, the responsibility of Korean language education, a cross-curricular subject, is important to cultivate the intercultural sensitivity required for Korean society in the process of moving toward a multicultural society. This subject is a subject that attempts to explore and practice ecological sensitivity and intercultural competence through literature according to these needs. It aims to understand ecological problems and multicultural issues in various classical/modern literature works, examine the actual response method of literature, and ultimately cultivate the ability to practice multicultural and ecological literature education in the field.

Also, they will study various semantic phenomena in Korean and be trained to apply these semantic knowledges to Korean Semantic Education.

In the AI and digital era, it is essential to understand and create not only textual, tabular, and pictorial documents but also a variety of digital materials. With the full-scale introduction of digital textbooks in schools starting in 2025, pre-service teachers need to be equipped with literacy skills across various contexts to handle these materials skillfully and appropriately. To achieve this, the course aims to develop an understanding of the basic concepts of basic literacy, disciplinary literacy, and multimodal and to foster the ability to understand and produce multimodal data in the aspects of vocabulary, sentence expression, and language norms.
