Department of History Education
The Dept. of History Education, the only department existing among national and public universities in Incheon, received its first students in 2011 after being approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology as INU newly commenced as integrated university in 2010.
With the objective to foster excellent history teachers and specialists, we plan to educate contents that are necessary to history education such as history theory, Korean history, oriental history, western history, history education theory, teaching profession subjects, etc. In addition, we will help students to develop their abilities as a history teacher through annual field trips to real historic sites. With its education on historical studies, the department will serve as a place where students develop into historians and history teachers with correct historical consciousness required by our society.
