1. Legal Basis & Overview According to Article 31, Paragraph 1 of the Immigration Act, foreigners intending to stay in the Republic of Korea for more than 90 days must register with the jurisdictional Immigration Office within 90 days of entry.
The International Support Team is providing a Group Application Service for new and transfer international students for the Spring 2026 semester. We strongly encourage you to apply during this period to ensure timely registration and avoid any legal disadvantages.
2. Eligibility

Target: New and transfer international students for the Spring 2026 semester who are required to issue a new Alien Registration Card (ARC).
3. Application Procedure & Schedule

4. Required Documents

Integrated Application Form (Available at the International Support Team office).

Copy of Passport (Bio-data page).

Photo (1 piece): Passport-style, color, taken within the last 6 months.

Important: You cannot use the same photo that is currently on your passport (unless the passport was issued within the last 6 months).

Certificate of Enrollment: (Issuable starting March 3rd).

Processing Fee: 35,000 KRW (Fee increased as of Jan 1, 2025).

Proof of Residence: Copy of housing contract in Korea, Dormitory Residence Certificate, etc.

Visa Grant Notice: Print from the 'Visa Portal' website (Check Application Status > Check and Print).
5. Important Notes

All application documents must be issued after your date of entry into Korea.

Information regarding opening a "limited-limit bank account" for research fund reception purposes (before ARC issuance) will be announced separately at a later date.
