The Dept. of Public Administration studies and researches the internal problems of managing public offices or public enterprises and how public officials and public employees solve public problems in their relations with civil society.
The Dept. of Public Administration studies personnel administration, administrative organization, and financial administration, which form the traditional foundation of public administration. In addition, it covers each field of public administration that has developed in response to various needs of society, such as policy studies, e-government, urban and regional administration, econometrics, management, government regulation, administrative philosophy, administrative history, comparative public administration, and welfare administration.
In recent years, the curriculum has been expanded and reorganized to include government innovation, civil society, regional development, environmental administration, and cultural administration, reflecting the trend of increasing the scope of public administration.
Along with the above majors, students also study other disciplines such as research methodology, economics, political science, and law to prepare themselves as social science majors.
Therefore, the Dept. of Public Administration focuses on expanding basic skills by studying a wide range of fields and expanding expertise by exploring the primary domain in depth.
The program aims to develop global public administration professionals with a solid commitment to serving their communities and people and excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
