Cache-Cache
Cache-Cache is a native language theater club created by students who love French and theater.
'Antigone' was first performed by French playwright, 'Jean Anouilh' and that tradition has continued ever since. We have been able to put on a successful show every time with the hard work of our actors and staff and support from our professors and classmates. While discovering the talents of each student, we have maintained a strong bond with many of our students who love the native language theater club even after the performance.
Vis-à-Vis (Chanson Club)
Vis-à-Vis means 'face to face' in French, and it is a chanson club for students of French literature.
Breaking the common stereotype that chanson is old-fashioned and challenging, we listen to and learn several genres besides the ones commonly heard in the media, and perform them every two years. Even if you're not a singer or know little about chanson, as long as you are interested and enjoy it, Vis-à-Vis will always welcome you. In the fall, we host a themed academic festival centered around the chansons we've been learning, creating a festive place for all students to mingle. Why don't you enjoy your university experience with the ever-joyful and energetic Vis-à-Vis Chanson club, full of nice songs and romance?
Cahier Vert (Journal Editorial Club)
Cahier Vert means "note of youth", and it has been published annually since its first issue in 2007.
We are a group of students who are passionate about literature, and we do everything from planning to editing and publishing. With each volume, the history of our department, French Language and Literature, is building up. The journal is enriched by accepting and publishing manuscripts from the editorial staff, undergraduates, and alumni. It can be seen as a footprint of our department. It has also become such a tradition that even graduated seniors look forward to receiving the journal. What about creating the next journal on your own together with our club?
Franlectours (Reading Competition)
The Reading Competition is a unique Department of French Language and Literature activity that started in 2013. It aims to inspire students studying humanities to read and enhance their knowledge of the humanities, in addition to their background knowledge of their majors.
It is an event to promote reading and strengthen writing by reading five books selected as departmental books every year and writing book reports on them. And all students are expected to participate.
There are other events for more students in the reading competition, such as quiz contests and photo UCC contests.
Become cultured and win prizes while reading in competitions and being beautiful inside and out.
B2 French Proficiency Test Preparation Club
Since 2011, our department has organized a B2 preparation club for internationally recognized certifications.
It aims to enhance students' capacity for internationalization by improving their proficiency through intensive French language courses and increasing their chances of obtaining an internationally recognized certificate in French. In addition, student-student and professor-student friendships are strengthened through club activities.
Student Union Introduction
Executive Branch introduction
The Executive Branch is the department that organizes, plans, and is responsible for the overall events of the department, led by the President and Vice President of students.
The executive branch comprises of the president, vice president, treasurer, and executive members. It is run by selected students who are experienced in departmental events, motivated to work, and energetic.
We are responsible for organizing activities such as Pre-Freshman College, O.T., Opening Day and the New Student Welcome Ceremony, Union MT, Festivals, Unmistakable Night, the End-of-Course Ceremony, support for consumable performances, and the College of Liberal Arts Athletic Competition.
Military Reserve Club
Now the Military Reserve Club is led by discharged men who generously offer advice and support to new and returning students.
As a result, first-year students can feel pride in their department and fondness for their seniors.
The main official event of the club is the "Boys Reunion", which organizes sports such as soccer and basketball to maintain relationships between seniors and juniors.
Also, it contributes to maintaining a strong network of contacts with alumni in the Department of French Language and Literature. The Student Council will work hard to make the Department of French Language and Literature the best department at Incheon National University!
