  • BLO6005 Fashion and Human Behavior
    The class provides a wide range of basic theories and terminologies of fashion, and examines the relationship between human behavior and apparel from the socio-psychological aspect.
  • BLO6003 Consumer and the Market
    The course includes lectures and discussion on the problems which consumers may encounter in the actual market environment. Students will deal with diverse issues from individual consumer's problems to social issues such as market infrastructure and policy, public policies and welfare.
  • BLB6002 Body & Dress Making
    The students will learn the relationship between body, apparel, and the basic dress pattern by understanding the body form from the scientific view point. Problems in apparel design and construction which relate to the basic dress pattern will also be examined.
  • BLB6034 Principles of Fashion Design
    The students will learn and practice the creation process of apparel design on the basis of basic elements and principles of fashion design.
  • BLB6001 Understanding Textiles I
    The course provides the basic understanding of the physical and chemical characteristics of the fiber types used currently in the market. Such understanding is one of the most important aspects necessary for becoming the fashion apparel professionals.
  • BLB6006 Fashion Croquis
    The students will practice drawing apparel with various texture, color, volume, and detail using different drawing materials. The class is aimed to build individual student's ability to convey precise apparel image and to have each student develop their own unique form and color.
  • BLB6008 Pattern Making & Practices
    The course teaches the pattern making and sewing of skirt, BLO use, and slacks based on the body form and clothing construction lessons.
  • BLB6039 Fashion Marketing
    The course provides the professional knowledge of planning, producing, marketing, and retailing of fashion products based on the theories of fashion & consumer behavior and basic marketing principles. The students will also acquire abilities to analyze and solve problems in the industrial field.
  • BLB6007 Understanding Textiles II
    The course provides the overall knowledge of the manufacturing processes and the characteristics of various fabric types and yarns. The students will also acquire the in-depth understanding of the structures of the most representative fabrics by way of fabrication analyses.
  • BLB6014 Basic Construction of Korean Costume
    The basic construction of Hanbok and its change through time will be examined. By the actual practice of Hanbok making and wearing the students will become familiar with traditional fabrics and sewing methods.
  • BLB6013 History of Oriental Costume
    The course will provide overall knowledge of the past clothing culture and society as a whole by examining the clothing construction and characteristics of the traditional Korean costume. The class will also enable the students to apply the past elements of traditional design of each historic period.
  • BLO6004 Color and Design
    The course is aimed to enhance the understanding of color and to learn how to apply various theories and practices into the actual design from aprofessional viewpoint.
  • BLB6009 History of Occidental Costume
    The students will learn the changing pattern of occidental costume through the change of clothing since the beginning of the modern era. Modern and past clothing will be examined by the costumes appearing in the movies. .
  • BLO6001 Introduction to Housing
    Based on the basic theories of housing the students will learn the fundamental purpose of housing space, function, and history. The class will also examine what the good housing model is during this period of change in the living life.
  • BLO6008 Children and Social Environment
    The course will provide basic understanding of children's growth and development by learning different characteristics of children and personal and social environment which influence children.
  • BLB6024 Fashion Crafts
    The students will learn how to make hand craft fashion items using different craft technics and fashion accessories.
  • BLO6007 Understanding Fashion Industry
    This class is designed to promote the knowledge on diverse industrial sectors related in fashion industry, and marketing and trade issues in global scope. Students are also encouraged to explore possible solutions and new ideas applicable in global fashion business using up-to-date techniques.
  • BLB6011 Fashion Illustration
    Based on the previous learnings from body drawing to accurately draw the beautiful human body and from fashion croquis to illustrate apparel image the class will build illustration ability for different needed fields.
  • BLB6010 Textile Testing and Evaluation
    The students will learn the methods of testing physical characteristics of apparel textiles using various laboratory instruments and also learn how the test results are related to the durability, care, and aesthetic functions of textile products.
  • BLB6041 Fashion & Culture
    The various fashion phenomena of today will be interpreted in terms of diverse cultural aspects such as music, art, ethnic culture, and the change of sexual identity, and it will be applied to design ideas.
  • BLB6063 Fashion Retailing
    The importance of retailing is growing in the fashion industry. The students will obtain the professional knowledge of retailing and learn the skills of buying, stock management, personal marketing, and costomer management which are necessary skills for the store management.
  • BLB6037 Draping
    The students will learn the principles of draping based on the understanding of human body form, and learn the methods of making draping pattern by basic dress pattern and applied designs.
  • BLB6016 Fashion Information
    The class involves the theoretical investigation of fashion as social phenomena and the learning of types and methods of collecting fashion information. Fashion information will be applied to analyze and predict the future fashion trend and also for merchandize planning.
  • BLB6018 Advanced Clothing Construction
    The course teaches pattern making and creative design of complicated apparel items such as one-piece dress, jacket, and coat.
  • BLB6045 Fashion Design (Ⅰ)
    Students will practice the creative design process based on the various principles and elements of fashion design.
  • BLB6017 Computer Aided Textile Design and Weaving
    Textile CAD system will be used to design printed and woven fabrics and practice 3D computer simulated wearing technic. With additional practice of weaving various plain and twill weave fabrics, the students will learn the practical skills of fabrication design.
  • BLB6021 Textile Finishing and New Materials
    In this course, the students will learn the principles, methods, and the characteristics of the various textile finishes which give aesthetic or functional effects to the apparel fabrics. Finishes which give functions or aesthetics such as luster, wrinkle recovery,  water repellency etc. will be discussed.
  • BLB6022 Asian Pattern
    Based on the lessons on special Hanbok (Po-outerwear), students will learn the skills of restoration technics and modernization.
  • BLB6049 Fashion DesignⅡ
    The course provides the actual practice of practical and creative design which can meet the needs and wants of the consumers.
  • BLB6025 Design and pattern making of Men's wear
    Students will learn the creative design of men's apparel by theories and pattern principles.
  • BLB6039 Fashion Market Research
    The students will learn to carry out the market research using various market research methods. In addition, the students will learn how to analyze the current fashion using different original ideas.
  • BLB6040 Seminar in Fashion Industry
    The class is aimed to make possible the problem solving, direction plan, and future planning by an in-depth analysis of various topic related to fashion.
  • BLB6046 Fashion Studio
    The classes is aimed to foster the creative designing skills by learning the types of dresses and the change of wedding dress through time.
  • BLB6044 Advanced Fashion Design
    The class is aimed to build the ability of fashion design by using diverse fashion trend and design inspiration
  • BLB6027 Special Topics in Clothing
    The class is aimed to build the ability to design clothing with special artistic and epoch characteristics. For this, students will learn the various expression skills, epoch-specific patterning technic and special sewing skills for enhancing the clothing making ablity.
  • BLB6047 Understanding Fashion Consumption Behavior
    Consumer's purchase and usage behavior will be theoretically investigated in relation to the apparel consumption, and the learnings will be applied to the marketing strategies of apparel companies.
  • BLB6048 High-Tech Fibers and New Technology
    In this course the students will learn how technological development is utilized to make the high functional apparel fabrics, and the high-tech fibers used in sports, communication, space science. The record breaking olympic swimsuits, fireman's barrier jackets, life-saving climbing jumpers, comfort stretching aerobic suits, and many more highly functional textile items will be discussed.
  • BLB6052 Entrepreneurship and Small Business in Fashion
    The students will learn to predict future, solve problems, and plan directions by an in-depth investigation and analysis of different topics of fashion.
  • BLB6055 Fashion Workshop
    The students will learn to critique the fashion phenomena through the investigation and analysis of fashion from various aesthetic viewpoint. The class will also enhance the critical fashion designing skills.
  • YAA9819 Theories of Subject-Matter Education
    The contents suitable for the textile and clothing education in middle schools will be learned systematically in accordance with the middle school curriculum.
  • YAA9919 The Study of Subject-Matter Education
    The class involves the practice of lecture planning and textbook analysis which are needed when teaching clothing and textiles in the middle schools.
