Scholarship for International Students

Selection criteria and submission documents Scholarship amount
International Students' full scholarship ○ Selection when entering foreign students

○ Rookie: Average GPA of 3.0 or higher in the previous course
○ Student: GPA of 3.50 or higher in the previous semester

2. Full-time students: Each student is required work within 20 hours per week as an academic and research assistant.

Reseach Scholarship ○ Currently enrolled students who have published research results as the lead(1st or corresponding) author
○ Must state affiliation as Incheon National University
(current address is not accepted)
○ In case of multiple lead author, the amount of scholarship:
· Research scholarship / N (the number of co-1st authors and corresponding authors excluding the advisor)
○ IF there are multiple fields belonging to the academic journal, the highest percentage will be applied.
○ JCR criteria shall be calculated by JIF RANK based on recent JCR YEAR’s Journal Impact Factor
1. Outstanding article within the top 5% of JCR criteria 300,000 KRW
2. Outstanding article within the top 10% of JCR criteria 200,000 KRW
Foreign university faculty's scholarship ○ As a foreigner, a professor at a foreign university for more than two years
○ A person who has been in office for more than two years at the time of application or who has been in office for more than two years has been recommended by the director of the department applied.
○ New students are paid without restrictions on their grades.
○ Students with an GPA of 3.25 or higher in the previous semester
○ Submit evidence to prove that the university is a two-year or higher university
○ Submit job certificate (native language and English)
○ Operate separately from special scholarship for foreign students
60% of tuition fees
Honorary Consulate in Korea Scholarship ○ A person who has been recommended by an honorary consul in Korea as a foreign entrant (one student can be recommended annually per honorary consul)
○ New students are admitted and paid without restrictions on grades only for the semester
○ Students with an GPA of 3.5 or higher in the previous semester
※ Subject institutions can change according to the conclusion and termination of the agreement.

Ambassador to Korea Scholarship ○ A person who has been recommended by the ambassador to Korea as a foreign entrant (one student can be recommended annually for each ambassador to Korea by country)
○ New students are admitted and paid without restrictions on grades only for the semester
○ Students with an GPA of 3.5 or higher in the previous semester

International Military Sports Council Scholarship ○ A foreign entrant who has been recommended by the International Military Sports Council of each country
(One student may be recommended annually for each chairperson of the International Military Sports Council by country)
○ New students are admitted and paid without restrictions on grades only for the semester
○ Students with an GPA of 3.5 or higher for students in the previous semester
Full tuition fee
Glabal Korea Scholarship ○ Person selected as a foreign scholarship student invited by the government
○ New students are admitted and paid without any credit restrictions only for the semester
Actual cost
Korean Homeland Education Program Scholarship ○ For those who are international students and completed Korean Homeland Education Program(K-HED) from NIIED
○ No GPA qualification for the first semester
Same with the Special Scholarship for International Students
Other matters

The amount of scholarship benefits shall not exceed tuition fees for the relevant semester.

○ There is no provision prohibiting double scholarship for graduate school student guidance and scholarships. (However, double benefits are prohibited on internal basis, except for research, work, and volunteer scholarships.)


○ In case of scholarship recovery criteria, apply immediately from the date of resolution.
