COLLEGE OF LAW
Pulling the World Power
Dept. of Law
- School of Law
In 1981 the Law Department (40 students) was established under the College of Social Sciences.
In 1998, the department became independent as a school of law, and since then, it has operated day (35 students) and night (30 students) programs, and in 2003, it combined day and night programs into a single program (65 students).
In line with Incheon National University's specialization strategy, the School of Law has shifted its focus from theoretical to practical legal education with the following goals.
- Fostering specialized experts in law
- Fostering professional experts in each sector
- Fostering law professionals for the Northeast Asia-centered era
In 1997, the Judicial Examination Class, Jeongganjae, was established. In a short period, it not only succeeded in producing several students who passed the judicial examination but also produced professional lawyers or legal experts in law or other fields requiring legal expertise.
In addition, academically, the school has produced several master's and Ph.D. graduates in domestic and foreign graduate schools.
Meanwhile, to foster legal professionals for the Northeast Asia-centered era, we are enhancing education in international trade law, emphasizing Chinese law and activating exchanges with foreign law schools and large law firms.
