Prohibition of Unauthorized Collection of Email Addresses

Unauthorized collection of email addresses posted on this website using email address collection programs or other technical devices is strictly prohibited. Please be advised that violations may be subject to criminal penalties under the Information and Communications Network Act.

Article 50 (Restrictions on Transmission of Advertising Information for Profit)

  • 5No person who transmits commercial advertising information using electronic transmission media shall take any of the following measures:
    • 2. Automatically generating a recipient’s contact information, such as a telephone number or email address, by combining numbers, symbols, or letters
    • 3. Automatically registering telephone numbers or email addresses for the purpose of transmitting commercial advertising information

Article 74 (Penalties)

  • 1Any person who falls under any of the following subparagraphs shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than one year or by a fine not exceeding 10 million won.
    • 1. A person who, in violation of Article 8 (4), labels, sells, or displays for sale a product bearing a similar mark
    • 2. A person who, in violation of Article 44-7 (1) 1, distributes, sells, leases, or publicly displays obscene signs, words, sounds, images, or videos
    • 3. A person who, in violation of Article 44-7 (1) 3, repeatedly causes signs, words, sounds, images, or videos that provoke fear or anxiety to reach another person
    • 4. A person who takes any measure in violation of Article 50 (5)
    • 6. A person who transmits advertising information in violation of Article 50-8
    • 7. A person who, in violation of Article 53 (4), fails to register a change in registered matters or report the transfer or acquisition of a business, merger, or succession
  • 2The offense referred to in paragraph (1) 3 shall not be prosecuted against the explicitly stated wishes of the victim.
