Objectives and Necessity
- As the world economy has recently become increasingly globalized, companies demand human resources with global competitiveness. Universities should prepare students to meet the demand of businesses and adapt to the global society by providing them with opportunities and programs.
- The overseas internship program is a global talent development program that can nurture such a global perspective and develop excellent talents. We are committed to expanding the quantity and quality of students' participation in overseas internship programs to realize the globalization of our students.
Internship Eligibility
- Current 3rd or 4th year student/leave of absence
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Intermediate/advanced level in spoken and written English (separate foreign language test will be required)
- Students with excellent local adaptability and a challenging spirit
- Work experience (part-time job, work experience, etc., is an advantage)
Internships Overview
- Countries: United States, Australia, China, Japan, Spain, USA
- Duration: 6 months to 1 year
- Screening Period: March/September each year
- Dispatch Period: August or the following January
- Salary: Varies by company
Initial Costs and University Grants
- The initial cost is around 6,500,000 KRW for the US/Australia, and the support amount varies depending on the location.
- Paid interns can cover the cost of living, but unpaid interns need to pay for their living expenses.

Credit Recognition Procedure
- Apply for internship courses: Overseas Internship 1 (15 credits, 20 weeks) / Overseas Internship 2 (12 credits, 16 weeks)
- Submit a comprehensive report/weekly report/work confirmation (Download from Forms 'Overseas Internship Document Submission')
- Submit reports
- Submit scanned copies by the 2nd Friday of January / July (interui@incheon.ac.kr)
- Post the original documents by the 3rd Friday of January / July (International Exchange Center, Bldg. 1, Room 208)
- Credit recognition will fail if scans and originals are not submitted by the deadline.
