Purpose of the Department Scholarship
- To encourage academic achievement and foster participation in all departmental activities.
- Evaluate academic performance and completion of major by each grade, improve students' academic competencies, and select scholarship recipients fairly.
Eligibility
- Students must meet the scholarship selection criteria
- Completed at least 9 credits of major courses within the grade level of their major within the total number of credits.
- a. Not including retakes
- b. In the case of odd semester enrollment, higher grade major courses will be accepted.
- c. If more than 9 credits of major courses are not available, students will be accepted if they complete all open courses.
- d. If the number of applicants is insufficient, we will consider you eligible even if you have not taken more than 9 credits of major courses.
Selection Criteria and Process
- Grades 60%, Department's self-evaluation 20%, Professor's recommendation 20%.
- Final decision will be made by the department professors' meeting
- In case of equal scores, priority will be given to students with a higher GPA in their major courses for the year.
- In principle, dual receipt of the scholarship is prohibited.
Scholarship Application Process
- Meet individually with your professor before the end of the semester
- Apply for a scholarship through the system by attaching a scholarship application form during the on-campus scholarship application period
- If you do not attach the scholarship application form when applying for the scholarship, the score of the department's self-evaluation area will be 0.
- Students who do not apply for scholarships within the period, even if they have excellent grades, will not be eligible for scholarships
Scholarship Selection Process
- Calculate the actual points of academic performance (GPA total×0.6=actual points)
- Calculate the Department's self-evaluation based on the submitted application form
- Hold a professor's meeting based on the combined score of 1 and 2.

Grade Recognition: English grades within the official recognition period
Operating Criteria
- The scholarship will be reduced by 1 level (excellent) if the 'best' applicant does not obtain the required score.
- The above number of applicants will be upgraded by 1 level from the lower level of students in case they obtain the required score.
- The 1st semester English grade will be applied to the previous semester's grade.
