Average grade calculation method
Students admitted in 2009-2012
- Applies graduation grade as listed on the final transcript from the college or university granting the teaching license but includes all coursework, regardless of classification.
- Previous transfer college grades are not included.
- If your overall grade at the time of graduation is not meeting the graduation criteria, you will neither be eligible for a teaching license with a major or a minor.
Students admitted after 2013
- The average grade must be calculated separately for major and teaching subjects. In the case of a double major, exempted subjects are not included in the calculation, and the grade obtained out of 100 points should be submitted.
- The average grade will be calculated by the actual grade (actual score × completed credit units ÷ total number of credits).
- If unavoidable, the average grade of major and teaching subjects will be converted to 100 points based on calculations.
The calculation should be made within two decimal places, and the highest grade, not the average grade, should not be multiplied by the number of credits.
