Haksan Library at Incheon National University (President: In-jae Lee) successfully concluded the 13th Haksan Library Electronic Resources Fair, held from May 21 to 29, 2026.
Held under the theme “Haksan Library: Connecting University Knowledge Through Electronic Resources and AI,” the fair was operated in both offline and online virtual booth formats. Approximately 1,000 students, including undergraduate and graduate students, participated, showing strong interest and positive responses.
The offline event was held on May 21 at the Triversity Convergence Hall on the first floor of the Irum Building at Haksan Library. A total of 22 organizations, including major domestic and international academic information providers such as Clarivate, Elsevier, and DBpia, participated and introduced various electronic journals and Web DB services.
In particular, separate hands-on booths for AI-based academic information services, including DBpia AI and Web of Science Research Assistant, allowed participants to directly experience AI-powered academic information services suited to the latest information environment.
In addition, the DBpia AI specialized training session conducted in English for international students received strong positive feedback, as it was designed to help students easily and effectively understand AI-based academic information search and paper-writing support functions.
The online fair, held from May 22 to 29, provided online booths for each electronic resource, user guides, and quiz events, enabling university members to experience various academic electronic information services without limitations of time or place.
One student who participated in the fair said, “I had not been very familiar with the electronic resources provided by the library, but through this fair, it was very useful to directly experience various databases and AI services that can help with major-related study and paper writing.”
A representative from Haksan Library stated, “This Electronic Resources Fair went beyond simply promoting electronic materials. It served as an opportunity to strengthen academic information literacy required in the AI era and to expand the library’s role as a future-oriented platform supporting research and learning.” The representative added, “We will continue expanding user-centered AI-based research support services.”
