
Professor Seung-taek Kang of the Department of Information and Telecommunication Engineering at Incheon National University and the ICEE 2026 Poster
Incheon National University (President: In-jae Lee) announced that Professor Seung-taek Kang of the Department of Information and Telecommunication Engineering has been appointed as Organizing Committee Chair of ICEE 2026, an international academic event in the fields of electrical engineering and power technology. In this role, Professor Kang will oversee and lead the preparation and operation of ICEE 2026.
Professor Kang currently serves as Director of the Radio and Satellite ITRC, a University ICT Research Center designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT. He has also led academic communities as Chair of the Microwave and Radio Wave Propagation Research Group of the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS), and Chair of the Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Waves Research Group of the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE). He is recognized as a leading scholar in wireless communications and power transmission.
ICEE 2026, chaired by Professor Kang, will serve as a platform to promote the advancement of applied technologies in electromagnetics, electromagnetic waves, and microwave engineering, which are central to wireless communications and power transmission. The conference will also integrate and discuss key agendas in electrical engineering, including power transmission and distribution, energy conversion, power electronics, power resource management, control and automation, and mobility. The outcomes will be shared with domestic and international industry and academia, as well as government and related organizations such as Korea Electric Power Corporation, which establish and implement energy policies.
ICEE 2026 will be held from Sunday, July 5 to Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul.
Professor Kang stated, “Being appointed as Organizing Committee Chair of ICEE 2026 and successfully hosting the event will be a meaningful opportunity to widely demonstrate Incheon National University’s active role in applied electrical and electronic engineering in Korea.”
