Dear Students,

This semester, I am offering a RISE (Research-Intensive Self-Motivated Education) course for 3rd- and 4th-year students. This is a Pass/Fail course in which you will develop your own research topic in international or regional economics into a complete paper.

The course will combine a few whole-class lectures and presentation sessions — including proposal, midterm, and final presentations — with one-on-one mentoring throughout the semester. It is especially recommended for students preparing a graduation thesis.

Students who wish to enroll should apply through the Department Office.
