Q. Can I take a leave of absence after paying tuition? A. Yes. You must pay tuition in full during the registration period, then apply for a leave of absence before 1/3 of the semester passes.

Q. I applied for Leave/Return. When will it be approved? A. It usually takes about one week. If you need urgent approval for course registration or dorms, check your status. If it is stuck at "Department Chair Approval," contact your department office. If "Administrative Dept Checking," contact the Academic Affairs Office.

Q. My enlistment date isn't fixed, but I might enlist after the semester starts. A. Military leave can be applied for 1 week before the enlistment date.

If your date is confirmed after the semester starts: Apply for General Leave during the application period first. Once your date is fixed, apply for Military Leave (switch types).

Note: Freshmen (2023+) cannot take General Leave in their first year. You must attend classes until 1 week before enlistment, then apply for Military Leave.

Q. How do I process my "Military Completion" status? A. When applying for a return or general leave, upload your discharge proof (Certificate of Military Service, etc.) and check the "Military Complete" box. If you missed this, use the "Student Registry Change Application" menu in the portal.

Q. My military service has been extended. I want to adjust my return date. A. Please send your "Certificate of Discharge Expectancy" to the Academic Affairs Office (inuaa@inu.ac.kr).

Q. I need to extend my leave after military discharge due to personal reasons. A. Upload proof of discharge to the portal, then:

If your status before military leave was "Enrolled": Apply for General Leave.

If your status before military leave was "On Leave": Apply for Leave Extension.

Note: If you already applied for "Military Return," you must cancel the return first, then apply for leave.

Q. Can I attend school while on "Terminal Leave" (using vacation days before discharge)? A.

Discharge before 1/3 of semester: Apply for Military Return with "Certificate of Discharge Expectancy."

Discharge after 1/3 of semester: Apply for Military Return with "Certificate of Discharge Expectancy," "Permission for School Attendance" (from unit), and a "Pledge."
