[Korean Language Program for Undergraduate Exchange Students]

INU offers Korean Language Courses for Undergraduate exchange students.

A new exchange student who wants to take the Korean Language Course should do the Korean-level test before registering for courses.

For the Graduate student, we offer a ‘non-credit Korean Language Course’ instead. The details will be informed in late March (TBA) 

[For New Undergraduate Exchange Students : 2024 Spring ~].  신규 학생 

o Korean Level Test

- 1) For Beginner (Lv. 1~2) : March. 4th(Mon) 16:30 [SP503/ Building no.15, room no.503]

- 2) For *Intermediate/Advanced (Lv. 3~5) : March 4th(Mon) 15:00 [SP115 / Building no.15, room no.115]

    *Normally, students majoring in Korean Language or have learned Korean for more than 1 year

o Korean Language Course List : See attached

o Registration for the Korean Language Course

- If you have learned Korean before, sign up for the courses suitable for your Korean Level during the 'Course Add/drop period' after taking the level test.

- If you have not learned Korean before, you may consider for registering for Level 1A or 1B class, please take a Level Test to make sure.

-레벨테스트 완료 후 배정 된 급수의 모든 과목을 수강해야합니다.(1급제외)

After you get the results of your level, you need to register the all classes for your level. EXCEPT Level 1. (If you get the Level 2, you must take 3 classes, 한국어 이해의 기초(2), 2급한국어(2), 2급한국어연습(2))

- Since these Korean Language classes are only for exchange students, registration is not competitive. Therefore, sign up for other courses first and then register for Korean language courses later on the registration day.

[For Current Undergraduate Exchange Students : 2023 Fall ~ ] 기존 학생 

o Sign up for the Korean Language Courses following your next level of Korean course  that you took in 2023Fall.

(If you took Level 2 classes in 2023 Fall, please register 4 classes of Level 3)

o 기존 2023년 2학기 한국어 수업 참가한 학생은, 다음 레벨에 해당하는 교과목을 신청하시면 됩니다.

(2023년 2학기에 2급 수업을 들었다면, 2024년 1학기에는 3급 수업에 해당하는 총 4과목을 신청해야합니다.)

o Korean Language Course List : See attached

[NOTE]

o Please bring your TOPIK certificate in case you have one.

o Please note that students should take all courses at their assigned Korean level.

   (e.g. Those assigned to Korean level 4 should take 4 classes on the list.)

o The details for the ‘Non-credit’ Korean language course will be informed in late March. (TBA)
