A research using the blue carbon biomass by INU professor Kim Jang-gyun of the Department of Marine Science had been exhibited at the National Aquarium in the U.S.
Professor Kim is conducting a study on the use of large-scale blue carbon biomass as part of project that university research institutions at INU (head Kim Tae-Hyun) and is working with U.S. researchers on mass-production of blue carbon and functional evaluation of ecosystem services.
Professor Kim Jang-gyun conducted a collaboration study on the establishment of conditions for marine plants raise and their use as food, and the results were displayed at the National Aquarium in the U.S.
The National Aquarium, located in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., was founded in 1981, and so far more than 60 million people have visited the aquarium as one of the three largest aquariums in the United States. The National Aquarium is known to improve the educational effectiveness of visitors by displaying not only biological exhibitions but also water ecology studies that are close to human life.
