A flexible and transparent multi-dimensional energy device has been developed by our university researchers
The next generation of fusion energy research center announced that developed transparent multi-dimensional energy element. Recently reported multi-dimensional energy element was investigated that the generation of electrical energy as the appearance changes shows amplified power in response to the incident light and determine that other forms of energy of mechanical-electrical-light can be used by blending together.
In this study, Dr. Mohit Kumar (a senior researcher at the Next Generation Energy Convergence Research Institute) implemented ‘flexible and transparent’ fusion energy device with a form of transparent oxide semiconductors on plastic substrates for the first time in the world and established a fundamental mechanism for interconversion energy.
Dr. Hong-sik Kim (a senior researcher at the Next Generation Energy Convergence Research Institute) materialize multi- dimensional energy conversion devices through plan and research for transparent electrodes that can cause efficient conversion of light and electrical energy.
Gyeong-nam Lee (the master’s course in Electrical Engineering), who participated in this research, contributed to enhancing the characteristics of the element by ensuring optimal conditions for deposition of oxide semiconductors through many experiments in order to manufacture transparent devices.
Professor Kim Jun-dong predicted that the results of this study were a new approach to amplifying electrical energy according to the input of light and could provide new access to transparent and flexible electrical/electronic/energy devices.
The results of this study are published online in Small magazine and are in the process of preparing domestic and international patents.
