On 19th February, Professor Sung-hun Jin(INU, Dept. of Electronics Engineering) and Jeongkyun Roh(Seoul National University, current Los Alamos National Laboratory postdoctoral researcher) solved the threshold voltage control of multilayered MoS ₂(Molybdenum disulfide) based transistor, by making an enhancement into Active Matrixed Quantum Dot Displays.
 
MoS ₂(Molybdenum disulfide) is known to be one of the active layer elements for next generation display actuator. By forming display elements with MoS ₂(Molybdenum disulfide), the thickness of transistor will be few nanometer, which could be an useful element for invisible display or flexible display actuator.  

Cooperative research team realized transistor based on MoS ₂(Molybdenum disulfide), which is an inorganic compound composed of molybdenum and sulfur. The enhancement of Octadecyltrichlorosilane, the single atomic layer is also made to the back channel, not on the front channel. This lead to the advanced reliability of the element and threshold voltage, making possible to operate various logic circuit with the low-power.   
 
The result of this cooperative research was issued as the inside cover report on 15th February in the journal 'Small' by Wiley-Interscience, one of the authority journal in the nano-factor.
