Life Sciences & Bioengineering

The College of Life and Sciences and Bioengineering is organized into the School of Life Sciences (Life Sciences major, Molecular Biology major) and the School of Bioengineering (Bioengineering major, Nano-Bio major).

Introduction

Bioindustry is getting a lot of attention as the industry that would determine a country’s economic power. There is a growing need for capable individuals who can work in bioindustry and pharmaceutical industries. Nurturing individuals to become familiar with biology alone would not suffice for the enhancement of a country’s economic power. Therefore, the College of Life Sciences and Bioengineering endeavors to produce new high-value industries that combines technology, products and services by offering academic programs in Nanotechnology, Information Technology, etc. The College of Life and Sciences and Bioengineering is organized into the School of Life Sciences (Life Sciences major, Molecular Biology major) and the School of Bioengineering (Bioengineering major, Nano-Bio major).

Educational goals and objectives

The college aims to promote culture and character building amongst its students. It also aspires to develop the inquisitiveness, creativity, analytical skills, and practical ability of its students through education in life sciences and bioengineering. In addition, it aims to produce scholars, and responsible citizens who actively engage in community services.
