Introduction

The study of Civil and Environmental Engineering improves the quality of life by loving the great nature and managing social infrastructure. Civil and environmental engineering includes environmental preservation and the development of facilities which increase convenience in daily human life.
Civil and environmental engineering serves as the foundation to a wide range of engineering subfields, including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulic engineering, coastal engineering, harbor engineering, construction management, nuclear engineering, survey and geospatial engineering, and tunnel, road, railway, and traffic engineering. Within its many engineering subfields, the areas of study covered by civil and environmental engineering are vast, including land development and preservation, environmental problems, traffic, facility water-resource, and city planning, marine resources development, public welfare, social overhead capital(SOC), and social infrastructure. Through extensive theoretical and technical education, the civil and environmental engineering major cultivates professionals with the skills necessary to make significant contributions to national social development.
