Humanities

The College of Humanities includes the Department of Korean Language and Literature, the Department of English Language and Literature, the Department of Japanese Language and Literature, the Department of Chinese Language & Cultural Studies, the Department of German Language and Literature, and the Department of French Language and Literature. These six disciplines seek to accomplish mastery in applied skills and theoretical approaches to these aforementioned areas. In addition, these academic programs expose students to both local and foreign cultures so that they can enhance their understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures.

Natural Sciences

The College of Natural Sciences was established to promote basic sciences, develop new technologies and apply principles of basic science research to everyday life.
In 1980, the Department of Mathematics, Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry, Department of Biology, and the Department of Home Economics were established. In 1988, the Department of Clothing was established, and these colleges formed the College of Natural Sciences. In 2012, the Department of Marine Science was established. In the present, departments in the College of Natural Sciences are mainly grouped into two: the Natural Sciences (Department of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Marine Science) and the Life Sciences (Consumer & Child Studies, Fashion & Industry).

Social Sciences

The College of Social Sciences was formed with the goal of nurturing young talents who are capable of contributing to social change and development. In 1980, the Department of Public Administration was established. In 1981, the Department of Ethics Education, and the Department of Political Science and International Relations were founded. These departments formed the College of Social Sciences in 1988. In 1997, the Department of Mass Communications was formed, and in 2005, the Department of Ethics Education became the Department of Ethics & Social Welfare (Major in Ethics, Major in Social Welfare).
In 2010, the Department of Library and Information Science, and the Department of Creative Human Resource were established. In 2011, the Department of Ethics & Social Welfare became the Department of Social Welfare.

The College of Law,Cormmerce& Public Affairs was founded in March 2016 in order to implement the educational philosophy of the Song INU vision of " Increase the talent of less benefit to the Global talent in the world ." The College of Law,Cormmerce& Public Affairs was founded at the end of careful preparation two years in an extension of the national education specialization projects undertaken in the 2014 law, public administration, political science , economics, the maximize interdisciplinary synergy through the convergence of International Trade , University of Incheon in the Humanities and Sociology Areas It aims to lead the college The College of Law,Cormmerce& Public Affairs will focus on practical training for mid-sized talent to play an active part in the international community and the workplace through The College of Law,Cormmerce& Public Affairs by leveraging the extensive domestic and international network, strengthening the linkage site training.

1981 school year, the College of Law, College of Social Sciences in 1981 initially Law (capacity 40 people) was installed.
Then in 1998 the College of Law College of Law, Independence Day (35 patients) and at night (30) in 2003, operating through and integrated in a single day and night for the law (65 patients) has been operating.

Information&Technology

The Internet, the development of information technology, many wireless communication devices, such as the emergence of digital TV content cultures induced by inducing the development of
the industry of our country becoming a major industry.
College of Information Technology, the theoretical development of information technology, as
well as industry-leading technology to meet the needs of developing human resources for the
purpose of college in 2003 and operated as an independent in the three departments of the College of Information Technology computer Manpower for the software industry and computer engineering and networks for the telecommunications industry workforce of Information and Communication Engineering, and Embedded Systems Engineering is installed.

Business Administration

The College of Business Administration was established a year after Incheon College was founded. It has shared Incheon National University’s history and tradition since the beginning. In 1979, the Department of Business Administration (regular and evening) was established, promoted to College of Economics & Business Administration in 1988. Before it changed its name to the College of Business Administration in 2006, 3 departments and majors had been founded and separated. Currently, there is one department in the College of Business Administration.

Northeast Asian Economics & Commerce

The College of Northeast Asian Economics and Commerce joined the Department of Economics and Trade and the Department of North East Asia International Trade of College of Economics & Business Administration. The college was newly established in March 2006, and at the present, includes the Department of Economics (regular and evening program), Department of Trade (regular and evening program), and the Department of Northeast Asian Commerce.
The Department of Northeast Commerce offers four majors, namely, Chinese Commerce major, Japanese Commerce, Russian Commerce and American Commerce. It has provided all its students with full scholarship and dormitory for the whole four years of their study. The college also gives opportunities to students to study at the country of their major concentration for a year. It provides training in foreign languages, international education, informational education, academic-industrial cooperation training, and practical field training. Through these courses, the college is able to produce graduates who are proficient in foreign languages and in international commerce. By nurturing talented individuals who are vital to the 21st century, our college is becoming the pride of Incheon city residents and is playing a huge role in the progress of Incheon National University.
The Department of Economics and the Department of Trade has been a part of Incheon National University’s history in the past 30 years, and has offered regular and evening programs. The Department of Economics provides education in the theory of economics so as students could use such theoretical background to approach real economic issues. The Department of Trade endeavors to nurture future trade experts by providing the vital education in the field of international business.

Arts & Physical Education

The College of Arts and Physical Education includes the School of Fine Arts and departments in the school of physical education. The School of Fine Arts offers major in Korean Arts, Western Arts, and Design. Experts and Leaders are produced by providing specialized education in each of these majors.
The departments in the school of physical education include the Division of Sports Science, and the Division of Exercise and Health. The Division of Sports Science provides theoretical and practical education, and develops students to become leaders and teachers in the field of sports. The establishment of the Department of Early Childhood in 2010 marked the beginning of the College of Education. In 2011, seven departments were established. The College of Education promotes the development of outstanding experts in the field of education by having creative professors who have broad knowledge in liberal education and education of various subjects.

Urban Sciences

In 2010, the College of Urban Sciences was organized into the Department of Urban Policy and Administration and the Department of Urban and Environmental Engineering (Major in Construction and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Urban Construction Engineering). The college engages in practical learning education and research that aim to find possible solutions to the problems of busy cities. The college endeavors to provide creative and realistic solution to city problems, in order to satisfy the needs of an era that aims for a futuristic city, needs such as a human-centered city, low-carbon green growth, fusion of cutting edge techniques, high class design, ubiquitous urban construction, etc.

Life Sciences & Bioengineering

Bioindustry is getting a lot of attention as the industry that would determine a country’s economic power. There is a growing need for capable individuals who can work in bioindustry and pharmaceutical industries. Nurturing individuals to become familiar with biology alone would not suffice for the enhancement of a country’s economic power. Therefore, the College of Life Sciences and Bioengineering endeavors to produce new high-value industries that combines technology, products and services by offering academic programs in Nanotechnology, Information Technology, etc.
The College of Life and Sciences and Bioengineering is organized into the School of Life Sciences (Life Sciences major, Molecular Biology major) and the School of Bioengineering (Bioengineering major, Nano-Bio major).
