- 내용: With the significant growth in e-commerce, last mile delivery has become an important business activity. As most of the parcels are delivered to urban areas, the efficiency of delivery operations has a considerable impact on urban phenomena such as congestion and air pollution. Crowdsourced and shared deliveries may reduce these negative externalities. Since these activities are relatively new, they present opportunities and challenges in both academic research and business applications. In this talk, I provide a survey on emerging methods in research to tackle the underlying challenges. In particular, I will discuss the trend of the convergence of machine learning and operations research in dealing with such complex problems. I will then demonstrate how these methods are used to develop real-world applications in crowdsourced and collaborative logistics in urban settings.
