[Advisor Prof.] Guidance on the application for the appointment of a graduate advisor

We inform you of application for the appointment of a graduate advisor(prof.) in the fall semester of 2023 as follows, 

so please apply for an advisor within the deadline.

1. Subject to application: New students & Enrolled students_who didn't apply for appointment of advisor(prof.) yet.

* Graduate scholarship recipients must apply for an advisor.

2. Application period: September 1, 2023 (Fri) to September 15. (Fri.)

3. Application method: Select one from the following methods

(We recommend Online Application)

A. *Online application using school portal system [Attachment 4 Manual] ,

(Students need to get approval from advisor & department chair at school portal system)

*Online application: School portal system → Academic administration → Graduation → Assignment of Guiding Professor mgmt → 지도교수배정신청

B. Submit an *application format [Attachment 2] to your major department. (Who can't apply online)

* Request for Appointment of Thesis Advisor.

Online application is recommended, but if it is difficult to use the school portal system, prepare an application form and submit it to the major department.

4. Guidelines

A. Those who want to take the [thesis research] course for the fall semester in 2023 have to finish ①application for advisor and ②approval from advisor & department chair within from 9.1.(Fri.) to 9.15.(Fri.). You can register [thesis research] course after applying for and approving the appointment of an advisor.

B. If you need to change your advisor necessarily due to unavoidable reasons such as retirement, illness, leave of absence, stay abroad, etc. of a Advisor(prof.)

 Fill out the application format[Attachment 3] and submit it to your major department.

C. In the case of a graduate scholarship student, an application for appointment as an advisor should be same at the time of admission(recommendation)
